February 14th, 15th, and 16th, 2025
Once again the Library Fine Art Exhibit, during Gold Rush Days, will be showcasing the talent
of the Members of the Wickenburg Art Center & Gallery!
Participation for this show is limited to Wickenburg Art Center (WAC) Members!
WAC reserves the right to reduce the number of pieces accepted for this exhibit due to space
considerations and to reject pieces deemed to be inappropriate for any reason by the Event
Chairperson(s). Show information and the Jurying entry form is available on the WAC website/ Library Fine Art Show.
Requirements:
Only two (2) artworks per artist will be considered. Entry fee is $20 for up to 2 entries.
Artwork must be the artist’s intellectual property and artists should be prepared to answer any
questions of ownership pertaining to the copyright of images used in their works. Both original
work and fine quality giclee prints will be accepted.
All art must be juried by digital images submitted through the WAC website. Each entry must
contain the name of the artist, the title of the piece, the dimensions of the work, (framed),
the medium, (oil, watercolor, wood carving, etc.) and the surface, (ie: canvas, paper, etc.)
Images must be taken of the piece without glass covering in the case of 2D works and must
have at least 2 images showing the front and back of 3D submissions. Images of 2D works
must be cropped properly and not shown with any framing. 3D works should be shown on a
solid, non-competing, (or distracting), background. *Note: because works will be juried based
on digital images it is very important that they be clear and a true representation of the work.
Works that differ greatly in their physical appearance than that of their submitted image may be
rejected. Works with damaged or dirty frames will be rejected. 2D works must be fitted with
picture wire for hanging. Works fitted with saw-tooth or other inadequate hanging hardware
will be rejected.

ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION: February 5, 2025
All artwork must be available for sale.
SIZES
Maximum size for 2D art is 32”, (framed), in width, 36”, (framed), in length
Maximum size of 3D art is 24” square
Each piece accepted for display will have an identification card that has been pre-printed and
will be attached to the artwork at check-in. It is the responsibility of the artist to make sure
that the information listed on the identification card is correct at the time of drop-off. No
changes will be made from that submitted at jurying, including title and price.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
All participating WAC Artists must be available to volunteer for at least one, four-hour shift as a
Gallery Host, in the Library. If a submitting artists will also have a booth at Artisan’s Fair then it
is their responsibility to find a substitute to take their shift. No exceptions. In the case that a
displaying artist is a no-show for their shift then their piece(s) will be disqualified from receiving
an award and they may not be considered for inclusion in subsequent Library Shows.
COMMISSION
Artists agree to a pay a 25% commission to the Wickenburg Art Center and Gallery on all
sales. Payments to artists are customarily made within 2 weeks but may take longer based on
volume. No checks will be mailed to artists without a W-9 form on file with WAC and it is the
responsibility the artist to make sure that this form is on file.
Registration, Drop off and Pickup:
Registration and drop off: Thursday, February 13th, 2025, between 9am-11 am. Artwork
will be accepted for the exhibit in the foyer of the Wickenburg Library. Artworks delivered
later that 11am may be excluded from display.
Hold Harmless
Submitting artists agree, by the act of leaving their art for display and sale, that every
reasonable effort will be made to protect their artwork. Should any damage, theft or loss
occur, it is understood that neither the provider of the space, the Wickenburg Art Center and
Gallery, or any officer, individual or exhibition committee or member will be held responsible for
such damage, loss, or theft.
Pick Up
Show Hours are from 9 am to 5 pm Friday & Saturday, 9 am - 3 pm Sunday.
All unsold Artwork MUST be picked up between 3 pm and 4 pm Sunday, February 16th,
2025.
Awards and Ribbons:
Peoples Choice Awards will be given for both 2-D and 3-D works. The works receiving the
highest number of votes will each receive $100 in cash and be prominently displayed on the
Wickenburg Art Center and Gallery Website.
2D and 3D pieces receiving the second and third highest number of People’s Choice votes will
receive both a ribbon and a gift certificate from the Wickenburg Art Center and Gallery.
Second Place will receive a gift certificate for 2-three hour classes, ($60 value), and Third Place
will receive a gift certificate for 1-three hour class, ($30 value). Gift certificates may be used for
either classes or workshops.
People's Choice
Voting by the public will take place between 9am and 3pm on Friday, February 14th and
on Saturday, February 15th. Awards will be displayed at 9am on Sunday, February 16th.
*Note: Artwork will be available for buyers to take immediately. This means that if your
artwork sells before People’s Choice voting has been completed, your piece may not be
available to be voted for.
Official Artwork Categories:
- Water Color, Oil, Pastel, Acrylic, drawing: Charcoal, Colored Pencil, Scratchboard, Pen, and /or
- Ink
- Jewelry
- Mixed Media, any combination of 2 mediums, including collage and wood burning
- Photography, including photo-montage and computer assisted/altered photography
- (AI generated artwork is excluded from the Library Show)
- Sculpture & Clay, free standing or wall-hanging art made of clay, leather, gourds, wood, metal,
- stone, glass, paper mache or similar materials
- Stained Glass, Textiles and Fiber Art
Note: If you do not see your medium listed, or are unsure of its medium, please contact the
Show Chairperson(s) to discuss its possible inclusion in the show.
Take Down: All unsold entries MUST be picked up between 3 pm and 4 pm on Sunday,
February 16th. Signature is required
