Let‘s have fun making acrylic art without a brush. You will be creating a number of paintings using strings, chains, combs, balloons, paper towels, plastic wrap, and even marbles. Come and join the all-in-one no brush class All supplies included.
Board meets the first Tuesday of the month.
In this 2 day, 3 hour hands on class profressional photographer Gary Requa will teach you everything you need to know to take your photography from your cellphone to a print media of your choice, i.e. canvas, metal, paper, acrylic or other form of archival that you might want to display your work on your walls, local events, photo albums, magazines, calendars, greeting cards, etc. This class is catered more for Iphone users but Android users are welcome as well. You don’t need an Iphone to attend.
Day 1 will be discussing what type of phone you have and the photo capabilities therein such as what formats are available and how and why to use one or the other. Also will discuss organizing your photos within your camera and storage considerations and how to download them to your laptop or cloud. I will discuss some of the photos I have taken and the workflow I have used.
Day 2 will be more in depth in postprocessing within your cellphone and or your downloaded images to your laptop of choice. I will be demonstrating different software available and how to take the finished product to the next level, i.e. printing, web, etc.

Using sunlight, water, and a bit of artistic alchemy, cyanotypes produce those iconic deep blue images that have fascinated artists and photographers since the 19th century. I will guide you through the process—from coating paper with light-sensitive solution to creating striking botanical prints and layered compositions using natural objects, transparencies, and stencils.

Jean Fleck has chosen a simple small market basket that will teach three different weaves and in addition to how to make a handle. You will complete your basket in this one-day class. A list of materials that you need to bring to class will be provided upon registration. Please note: Due to the cost of materials that will be ordered and provided to you (which are included in the class fee) there will be no cancellations, refunds or credits if you decide not to attend for any reason.

This program will be held on Thursday mornings beginning February 19 and will focus on Basic Skills for Beginners and as a Refresher course for Intermediate Members. The focus of the class will be landscape painting with a bit of still life as well. Members can expect to complete 2-3 paintings during this program and all supplies will be included.
An introduction to watercolor paints, brushes, and papers. Three paintings will be completed in the four classes as students learn wash techniques, composition, working with values of light and dark: texture, line, drawing preliminary sketches, showing distance, and a brief overview of color theory.

and texture to produce one-of-a-kind prints.
No experience is necessary — this process is playful, experimental, and perfect for artists of all
levels. You’ll learn:
• How to use a gelli plate and paints to create richly layered papers
• Techniques for adding textures, stencils, and mark-making
• Tips for building a personal collection of collage papers that reflect your own style
By the end of class, you’ll have a beautiful stack of original painted papers ready to use in
collages, mixed media pieces, journals, or as stand-alone artworks.
This workshop is all about letting go of perfection, embracing surprise, and enjoying the process
of discovery. Come ready to play, experiment, and leave with papers as unique as you are!
Create a unique clay chicken using the handbuilding technique. No prior experience in clay is needed. A second glaze class will follow once the chickens have been fired. Time and date TBD by students. Instructor: Carol McRann
Get into the western swing by making WESTERN CARDS. Let the cowboys and cowgirls send a warm greeting. We will be doing an Iris Fold Boot, an Indian Chief Face with feathers, and a good looking cowboy. Several more may be created if time allows. Bring scotch tape, Ieverything else will be supplied.
