WAC ARTWORK OF THE MONTH COMPETITIONS

Monthly competitions each year (January thru May and September thru October) are a part of all regularly scheduled meetings. Each member of WAC (juried and non-juried) are invited to enter one piece of art prior to the start of each business meeting. Members attending the meeting will receive 2 ballots to be submited prior to the start of the business meeting.

Artwork must be original, not a product of a workshop, and completed in the last two years. There will be a two dimensional and a three dimensional competition. Two dimensional art must be framed or on gallery wrapped canvas and wired for hanging. Three dimensional art can have a supporting stand.

All entrants must be in attendance in order to compete. Results of the voting will be announced prior to the end of the meeting and winners will be featured in the monthly Newsletter.

All members age 16 and older (including previous Artwork of the Month second and third place winners) may compete as often as they wish until their art receives an Artwork of the Month first place award.

All first place winners for Artist of the Month will return their art for the November meeting and compete for Artists of the Year. There will be two Artists of the Year recipients and all members will have a vote in each category. Votng will continue until a week before the December meeting at which time the winners will be announced. If the original art work is no longer available or sold, another recent piece can be substituted.

The winners will be featured for all of 2024 in the WAC Gallery and on the WAC Website.
