You don’t have to be an “Expert Photographer” to be welcomed as a member of the  Photography Group.  All you need is an interest in photography; digital, film or a cell phone camera.  Our aim is to encourage you to develop current and new interests and skills as well as to provide a place to meet friendly people who share your interest.

Education, hands-on learning opportunities, gallery exhibits, your photos exhibited in public places, field trips, speakers, demos are just some of the benefits of a photography group membership.

We meet the first Monday of the month from 4-6, Oct-May, at WAC Administrative Fees are $25.00 for the season/individual or $40.00 per couple.  These fees cover our Speaker costs, Art Show Receptions and Awards plus administrative expenses.

Please join us at our first meeting of the season on  Monday Oct. 6th  at 4:00 PM at WAC to meet new photographer friends and see what we have planned for the season.

2025/2026 Photography Themes

Creativity rocks!  In order to spur our creativity, focus our attention, and push ourselves to look at something a different way, we will have themes to work on during the season.  This is not mandatory, but simply something fun to work toward and share during our monthly meetings.

In the spirit of the theme, limit this to photos that have been taken over the last year. The whole idea is to practice, get out there (or stay in there), exercise your eye and talents, grow as an artist, and take new photos. 

 While we love to see photos from the theme, share any photos you like; whatever you are working on that is lighting your fire! However, please limit the total number of photos to share to 5 or less. That should give us more time to really view, chew, discuss artistic and technical aspects, and offer constructive ideas if so desired.

Please email your monthly theme photos to Mark Harmon no later than 3 days before the monthly meeting so that he can put together the monthly photo presentation.  You may include title, location, camera settings if you wish to do so.  Mark Harmon:  mharmon@sonic.net.
