Desert Jewelry Class -- CANCELED
About this event
Join professional teaching artist Shari Keith to create unique jewelry from the woody parts of the Saguaro and Cholla cactus.
You will appreciate the beauty of these small pieces of the desert as you employ simple wire-working and sanding techniques to complete a necklace, earrings, or purse charm.
Beads, chain, findings, wire, and cactus pieces will be provided by the artist and are included in the cost for the class, and you may bring your own small treasures to add to your piece if you wish. No previous jewelry-making experience is necessary, but the class does involve the use of pliers (provided by artist).
Shari Keith holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and a Master’s degree in Education. She has been working as a professional teaching artist for almost 20 years. Her own work has been featured in numerous art galleries and she travels extensively to present hands-on workshops to participants of all
ages.

Cancellation Policy:
WAC requests that you cancel no less than 48 hours before a scheduled class or workshop. This gives us the opportunity to fill the class. Cancellations made up to 48 hours before the start of any class or workshop will receive credit or a refund less a $5 cancellation fee. No refunds or credit will be issued within 48 hours before the start of a class or workshop for any reason, including illness. Additionally, there are no refunds for no-shows or for withdrawal after classes or workshops begin. If for any reason WAC and/or its instructor must cancel a class then the choice of either a credit or full refund will be given. Credit for classes and workshops must be used within one year.
