Join fine artist Emily Gordon for an engaging class designed for artists who want to strengthen their ability to both give and receive constructive critique in the realm of fine art. Participants will explore the principles of visual analysis, learning how to evaluate composition, technique, and concept with clarity and sensitivity. Through guided discussions, case studies, and peer-to-peer practice, artists will gain confidence in articulating thoughtful feedback that goes beyond surface-level commentary.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
• Apply formal and conceptual frameworks when analyzing works of art
• Identify strengths and areas for growth in their own and others’ work
• Communicate critiques in a way that fosters growth, collaboration, and artistic exploration
• Develop resilience and openness when receiving feedback
