Proposed Revised Bylaws – Discuss 9-11-2017 at the GM

The Board of Directors has been working on revising the bylaws for the past 4 years. The bylaws are the guiding rules and regulations for the operation of the organization. 

During the review process many approaches to governance were discussed. If we make the rules and regulations too strict, we make it impossible to move forward in a positive direction. If we make the rules and regulations too general, we have no semblance of direction.

A sub-committee of the Board of Directors reviewed the immediate past bylaws along with several attempts put together by previous Wickenburg Art Club boards to develop a new set of bylaws. We ask you all to review these new bylaws and be ready to discuss them at the September 11, 2017 General Meeting. 

After the discussion on Sept. 11, 2017, we will vote on the revised bylaws at the October General Meeting.
