WAC’s Silent Auction Item to Benefit Camp Imagination Has Been Held
At the Del E. Webb Center’s 2017 Gala, the WAC Board offered a “Painting Party for Eight” as a Silent Auction item to be raffled off with the proceeds going to benefit Camp Imagination. On April 4th, the Art Center hosted eight enthusiastic ladies, many of whom had never painted before. After a brief lesson and assurances that they would, indeed, finish a painting on their supplied 11”x14” canvas within the three-hour time frame, the ladies got to work.
Event Chair Lynn Tagge tried to make sure that everyone learned a little bit about their own artistic styles as well as have some fun.
All the ladies expressed surprise and delight at the artworks in the WAC Gallery, and the changes that had been made to the Art Center over the past few years. Several ladies will be applying for membership when they return in the fall. One of the guests was so happy with the results of the painting party that she solicited another one as a Silent Auction item for the Boyd Ranch fundraiser.
