The 5th annual exhibition and sale will take place from July 30 through October 1, 2016 in the Desert Caballeros Western Museum’s Cultural Crossroads Learning Center in Wickenburg, AZ. The Preview and Artists Reception is Friday, July 29th from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.

If you’ve ever had an interest in watercolors and want to know how to get started, this demonstration is for you! Helen will share her vast knowledge of the medium and give you practical information on what you’ll need to begin painting, colorful, lively, gorgeous works of art. And, it’s free!

Wickenburg Art Club juried member, Tom Kern, creates unique artworks with wood. By using special heated tools, Tom will demonstrate how he produces his detailed images of iconic western subjects. The North Ranch resident is a self-taught wood carver, pyrographer and mixed-media artist. This demo is sure to be interesting, entertaining, informative, and, it’s free!

Members of the Vulture Peak Patchers and North Ranch Quilters will explain hand sewing techniques as they demonstrate how to construct a Comfort Quilt. These special quilts are often donated to organizations in hopes of providing comfort to individuals in Maricopa and Yavapai Counties who need a little “TLC”. The Patchers will also have on hand samples of beautiful quilts and other items. Don’t miss this opportunity to get all your questions answered and to see how the experts turn bits of fabric and thread into real works of art!
